Basic ingredients: Set in Evesham Vale, the so-called Bread Basket of England, home to terrific asparagus and strawberries, Eckington Manor Cookery School offers an extensive range of themed hands-on courses and demonstrations in its state-of-the-art kitchen with CCTV cameras that buzz images from around the cooking school to flat-screen televisions at the front of the class. The school is on the second floor of a purpose-built barn-like unit and has all the latest kitchen utensils and gadgets as well as an army of “kitchen fairies” on hand to do the washing up. Courses range from Bread and Baking to Indian Cookery and East Entertaining.

My daughter who will be 14 in March and myself are looking to come for a weekend residential cookery or rather baking course … she loves baking cakes, etc but I am not sure if she would really enjoy filleting fish, etc. Do you have any courses that would suit her and we will likely come with my best friend and her 14 year old who is a very competent cook but again would like to concentrate more on baking! Many thanks for your enquiry. We have a chocolate heaven half day course running on Saturday 17 March which includes:
Chocolate & raspberry roulade
White chocolate creme brulee
Whisky truffles (can do plain ones!) which might interest you. We are able to offer you and your daughter to cook as one person (due to her age) for a nominal charge of £20 extra (£99.00 cookery course). We have a twin room available @ £140.00 per night including Breakfast so total cost would be £259.00 for the 2 of you for the course and overnight stay. Please let me know what you think.
