Basic ingredients: All round food dynamo Angela Gray runs polished day courses at two different historic venues in Wales: Slebech Park in Pembrokeshire and Fonmon Castle in the Vale of Glamorgan. Courses are for a maximum of eight students and include knife skills and basic meat cookery, seafood masterclasses, Sunday Best and a demo and dine evenings. A full day’s course costs £140.
They say: We use ingredients from the estates’ gardens and from local producers, who are often invited to take part in the classes.
We say: Angela has cornered the market in South Wales and deservedly so. She will be back cooking at the Cookery School at Llanerch Vineyard, which re-opens under new owners in April 2011.
