The UK’s Top 10 fish and chip shops 2012

The best independent take-away fish and chip shop in the land 
will be named today at the National Fish & Chip Awards, held in
London and organised by Seafish, the authority on seafood.

The regional winners competing for Britain's best chippy crown
are:

• Scotland: The Bay Fish and Chips, Stonehaven, Aberdeenshire
• Wales: Crispy Cod, Tonyrefail, Mid Glamorgan
• Northern Ireland: Pit Stop Fast Food, Kilkeel, County Down
• North East: Quayside Fish and Chips, Whitby, North Yorkshire
• North West: Seniors Fish and Chips, Thornton, Lancashire
• Midlands: The Big Fish, Stratford Upon Avon, Warwickshire
• Eastern: Linfords Fish and Chips, Market Deeping, Lincolnshire
• London & South East: Seafare, Worplesdon Rd, Guildford, Surrey
• Central & South: Wigmore Fish and Chips, Luton, Bedfordshire
• South West: Hanbury’s Fish restaurant and Seafood take-away,
Babbacombe, Devon
