There is a great range from the Scandinavian and French breads made at Bake with Maria’s Baking Lab to Paul Merry’s artisan masterclasses at a working flour mill. The Women’s Institute is always a force to be reckoned with where baking is concerned and its Baking Weekender courses at Denman College are consistently ‘sold out’; Rosemary Shrager knows a thing or two about bread, too, and shares her knowledge in a masterclass at her impeccable eponymous cookery school; for visiting experts and specialist baking courses, the team at Squires Kitchen International school, which is dedicated to cakes and sugarcraft, is hard to beat, while the aroma from the cinnamon buns at Tine Roche’s Beginners Bread class in Cambridge is said to have ‘changed lives’.

My absolute favourite would be the cookery school on St Martins in the Scilly Isles, what a location!
I would love to go to a sourdough bread class, my attempts at home are not very good!
You do not list the National Bakery School at London South Bank University, an institution that has been turning out first class bakers for many years.
I attended a baking course at Squires Kitchen taken by Mark Tilling: lovely teacher and great skills learned in a professional school.

Cambridge Cookery School offers a great baking class with lots of hands-on experience, I came away having learnt a lot and I am definitely going to give bread making a go.
