NB: Buttermilk Barn is now closed and Angela Herbert-Bell is offering courses at her new venture, Herbert’s restaurant and cafe in Keston.
Angela runs 15 courses a week for children, adults and pre-university students, all of which are very hands-on and taught in a relaxed and entertaining way. For the kids there are pre-school and after-school classes and children’s cupcake cooking parties. For adults the ten and 11-week daytime and evening courses, that start each week with coffee and homemade cake, represent good value and an opportunity to consolidate new skills.
They say: We aim to show children the wonder of cooking. For adults we cover a wide variety of dishes including dinner party menus, family suppers, pastry making, baking and bread making, delicious puddings and foods from around the world.
